How to Store Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic Rubber Boat Outboard Machine
How to store the outboard engine if it is not used for a long time? Preparation before storing the outboard engine for a long time.
① Clean the exterior of the engine with clean water and thoroughly flush the cooling water system. Allow the water to drain completely. Wipe off all surface water with an oily rag.
② Drain all fuel from the fuel line, fuel cock and carburetor and clean the parts including the screen in the fuel cock.
③ Disassemble the carburetor, remove all the dust inside and clean it with gasoline and compressed air.
④ Remove the spark plug and fill the engine oil or store the anti-rust agent through the spark plug. Pull the recoil starter handle several times to circulate the oil to the internal parts.
⑤ Apply lubricating grease on the propeller shaft.
Replace the gear oil in the gear box.
⑦ Apply lubricating grease on all sliding parts, bolts and nuts.
⑧ Wipe off all the water and salt on the electrical parts with a dry cloth.
⑨ Put the overboard engine vertically in a dry and ventilated place.
Note: Use appropriate methods to dispose of fuel and oil discharged from fuel tanks, carburetors, gear boxes, etc.
